Step-by-Step for Medical Transportation

1. Call Air Ambulance Specialists at (720) 875-9182 or (800) 424-7060.
2. Have basic medical information ready. A medical professional will get a full medical report from the attending facility prior to transport.
3. Have location of patient, name of hospital, and address (e.g., city, state and/or country) ready.
4. Communicate location where patient is to be transported (e.g,. name of hospital and address).
5. Know the patient date of birth or age.
6. Have the approximate transport date or time frame in mind.
7. The above information will allow a flight coordinator to calculate an air ambulance quote. The air ambulance price is all inclusive and all of your air ambulance questions can be answered at this time.
8. Once the decision is made to use Air Ambulance Specialists, our medical crew will obtain a full medical report.
9. Payment arrangements will be discussed and made.
10. Space allowing, 1-to-2 family members/companions may accompany the patient at no additional charge.
11. The flight coordinator will make all ground transportation arrangements.
12. Arrangements should be made to ship additional luggage as 2 carry-on size pieces are allowed due to the flight medicine and equipment onboard the aircraft.
13. The ground transport will be scheduled to pick up the patient/crew at the sending facility as well as arrangements for the patient's final destination.
14. The flight coordinator will dispatch the aircraft.
15. Patient arrives at the aircraft and is secured on an FAA approved stretcher.
16. Flight begins, if fuel stops are necessary updates will be made with each stop and a final estimated time of arrival will follow the last fuel stop.
17. Upon completion of the aero medical flight, ground transportation will be waiting to transport the patient to the receiving facility.
18. All parties involved are updated of the patient's arrival.
