Air Ambulance Specialists arranges the following three types of aero medical transport services for domestic and international flights:

Private Medically Equipped Aircraft
Private aircraft is the service utilized most often. The medical jet is configured as a mini intensive care unit and is capable of handling BLS, ALS and Critical Care patients. Medical Staff, consisting of Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Doctors are available. All aero medical staffing is customized to each patient's particular needs for each medical flight.

International Commercial Stretcher
Patient transportation on commercial airlines requires advance planning; emergency medical evacuation transports are not available utilizing a commercial stretcher service. International commercial stretcher flights require blocking out rows of seats to allow room for an FAA approved stretcher to be placed on the commercial airline. A curtained area becomes the patients "room". We make all of the needed arrangements using our specially trained aero medical staff and equipment.

Medical Escort
Travel assistance is available for patient flights, when the attending physician has cleared the patient to travel with a medical escort. A medical escort may be utilized and is based upon medical necessity. Medical escort patients must be stable and ambulatory, that means the patient must be able to walk onto the commercial flight. Air Ambulance Specialists aero medical crew will consult with the patients Physician(s), evaluate his/her medical condition as it relates to air travel, and advise on the best method of medical transportation.
